Acoustics shape the room
A meeting room needs to keep conversations in and noise out. That takes full-height walls, sealed edges, solid doors with good seals and careful placement of ductwork and light fixtures.
Our interior systems team, led by Brian Wright, builds the partitions and ceilings. Absorptive panels and ceiling treatments control echo, which matters for video calls.
Integrated AV and controls
Displays, cameras, microphones, speakers and control panels need power, data and clean wire paths. Our low voltage team, led by Adam Mason, handles AV and sound systems, and our electricians handle lighting and power in the same room.
We plan the wire paths and blocking before drywall goes up. Equipment is easier to install and service when the walls and ceilings were built with it in mind.
Comfort and lighting
Rooms fill quickly, and people generate heat. Our HVAC crew sizes and balances air distribution so the room stays comfortable without noisy diffusers.
Lighting needs to work for a presentation, a video call and a working lunch. Dimmable zones, controlled daylight and fixtures that avoid glare on screens help. Our Master Electrician-led crew wires the controls to match the design.
Multi-room meeting centres
A larger meeting centre may include divisible rooms with operable walls, a catering area, a pre-function lounge and a reception. These add movable-wall tracks, extra structure, plumbing and ventilation.
Plan for booking panels, access control and after-hours use. HSM can also supply furniture and signage so the room is complete on opening day.
Finishes that last
Meeting rooms take daily use from many people. Millwork, tables, wall finishes and flooring should stand up to wear while still looking sharp. Our carpenters and millwork crew can build credenzas, feature walls and AV cabinets that suit the room.
We can also help with furniture selection and supply, so the table, chairs and equipment fit the room and work with the AV.
