Secure facilities protect the children inside and control who comes and goes. Security cannot be added at the end. It affects layout, wall construction, doors, hardware, lighting and wiring from the first drawing.
We bring our engineering team, trade leads and project managers into design early so the security plan and the building plan agree.
Systems and construction together
Our low voltage group, led by our Low Voltage Systems Manager, installs access control, intercoms, alarms and surveillance. Our door and hardware crew installs the physical doors and locks they depend on, and our interior systems team builds walls with appropriate backing and strength.
Because one company does both the electronic and physical work, the pieces fit. Cable pathways are planned, door frames are ready for readers and cameras land where they were designed to.
Safe, calm environment
A secure facility should still feel gentle. Lighting, colour and acoustic finishes help create a calm environment. Our electrical team, led by a Master Electrician, installs reliable lighting and emergency power, and our painters and carpenters create finishes that are durable and soft in appearance.
Our mechanical crew installs HVAC and plumbing with safe, tamper-resistant choices in washrooms and living areas, and keeps air quality comfortable.

Planning and approvals
Facilities serving children come with provincial and municipal requirements. Owners and operators should confirm them early, and we will build to the approved design, managing permits and inspections.
Security systems need testing and training. We commission systems with staff and remain available after handover, with calls and email answered around the clock.
Fewer subcontractors also means fewer people with knowledge of the security layout. Keeping electrical, low voltage, hardware and interior work with HSM crews supports confidentiality, tighter quality control and one clear point of accountability.
