Built for young students
Elementary schools need clear sightlines, rounded details, durable surfaces and good acoustics. Rooms are used constantly, often by many classes in a day, so finishes must stand up to wear.
We pay attention to small details: corner guards, door hardware at the right height, easy-clean walls and flooring that handles winter boots and spills.
Classrooms, gyms and libraries
Each space has its own needs. Classrooms need good lighting and acoustics for learning. Gyms need strong floors, high ceilings and safe lighting. Libraries and common areas benefit from flexible furniture and clear layout.
Our interior systems team builds walls, ceilings and acoustic treatments. Our carpenters complete casework and cubbies, and our painters and door and hardware crews finish the building.
Air, power and safety systems
Fresh air matters in classrooms. Our mechanical crew handles HVAC and plumbing, including washrooms scaled for children. Our electrical team, led by a Master Electrician, installs lighting, power for technology, and emergency lighting.
Our low voltage group installs security, access control, cameras, intercoms and networks. These systems keep students safe and teachers connected.

Building around the school year
School projects work to a tight calendar. Summer holidays are the main window, and a missed date can affect the start of term. We plan procurement early, because large items need lead time, and keep one schedule across all trades.
When work runs during the school year, we separate the site from students, control dust and noise, and coordinate closely with administrators.
Self-performing electrical, mechanical and interior work lets us keep a small, familiar crew on site, which is easier to manage around children and staff, and gives the school one team to call if anything needs attention after handover.
Questions we hear
Can work happen while school is in session?
Sometimes. We separate work areas, control noise and dust, and plan safe routes for students and staff.
