Offices in a working building
An office inside an industrial building faces dust, noise, temperature swings and vibration. Good design keeps those out. Insulated, sealed walls and ceilings, quality doors, and separate ventilation keep the office clean and quiet, and the right acoustic treatment lets people take a phone call in peace.
These spaces often combine many functions: reception, dispatch, supervisor stations, boardrooms, training rooms, lunchrooms and washrooms. We plan the layout with sightlines to the floor where supervisors need them and privacy where HR or finance need it.
Our interior systems team
Interior systems manager Brian Wright leads our framing, drywall and ceiling crews, who have built many offices. Our carpenters make reception counters, cabinets and shelving, and our painters and door crews finish the work.
The mechanical and electrical side matters most. Our mechanical crew installs separate heating, cooling and ventilation so the office is comfortable year round, with plumbing for washrooms and kitchenettes. Our electrical crew, led by a Master Electrician, installs lighting, power and data outlets, and our low voltage group adds networks, phones, access control and surveillance.

What to plan for
Think about where the office sits relative to forklift traffic, noise sources and exits. Windows into the shop add safety and light but need fire-rated considerations. Mezzanine offices give excellent views and save floor space, but add structural and egress requirements.
Finish quality sets the tone for staff and visitors. A well-finished office improves how customers see your business and how employees feel about coming to work. We keep construction dust away from the shop and offices, and finish in stages when production cannot stop.
A workplace people want to use
Industrial staff spend long hours in these offices and break rooms. Daylight, good air, comfortable temperatures and quiet make a real difference to retention and productivity. We encourage clients to treat these rooms as a serious part of the investment.
Our team can also supply and install furniture and networks, so staff move in to a space that is ready to use.
