Flexible rooms for different courses
A training centre may need classrooms, computer labs, a lunch room, instructor offices and workshops. Rooms that can be reconfigured, with movable partitions and flexible power, make the space more useful as programs change.
Our interior systems and carpentry crews build walls, ceilings and fixtures to suit, and we plan wiring so layouts can be changed later.
Short-term leases and growth in enrolment are common. We plan for change, using layouts and services that can be altered without a full rebuild.
Hands-on shops
Trades training spaces may include welding, mechanical, electrical, automotive or health practice areas. They need heavy power, ventilation, dust or fume extraction, durable floors and safe layouts.
Our Master Electrician-led crew installs panels and equipment power, our mechanical crew handles exhaust, make-up air and plumbing, and in-house engineering reviews loads.
Technology for learning
Instructors rely on displays, projectors, audio and network access. Our low voltage team, led by Adam Mason, installs data, AV, alarms and cameras. Wireless coverage should be planned along with wired cabling.
Digital signage for schedules and wayfinding can be added as part of our turn-key services.
Recording and remote delivery are now common, so ceiling microphones, cameras and reliable networks are worth planning from the start.
Comfort, accessibility and amenities
Learners come from different backgrounds and abilities. Accessible washrooms, entries and classrooms matter. Break rooms, lockers and bike storage add to daily comfort.
Our HVAC crew balances airflow for rooms that fill up fast.
Planning notes
Many training centres are leased, so check landlord rules on heavy equipment, ventilation and after-hours work. HSM can review a space before you sign to confirm power and ventilation can support your programs, and price the changes.
Because most trades are ours, we can move fast once approvals are in, which helps when a program start date is fixed.
