Repetition and detail
A hotel includes many identical rooms, plus lobbies, corridors, meeting space and back-of-house areas. Repeated rooms make careful planning valuable: a small mistake in one room is repeated across the floor.
Our team builds a sample room approach when appropriate, so the owner can review layout, finishes and services before the rest are completed.
Guest rooms and corridors
Guests notice sound, temperature and lighting. Our interior systems team builds framing, drywall and ceilings with sound separation in mind. Our carpenters build or install millwork, closets and vanities, and our painters and door and hardware crews handle finish quality.
Our electrical team, led by a Master Electrician, installs lighting, receptacles and controls. Our mechanical crew handles HVAC and plumbing, including bathrooms, hot water and in-room heating and cooling.
Public areas and building systems
Lobbies, lounges and meeting rooms set the hotel's first impression. Lighting, finishes and acoustics all matter. Our low voltage group installs surveillance, access control, AV and networks, which guests rely on every day.
Life safety systems in hotels are strict. We coordinate fire protection, alarms and exits with the authority having jurisdiction, and build to the approved plan.
- Sample room review
- Sound separation between rooms
- Bathroom plumbing and hot water
- Network, TV and access control cabling
Working around guests
Hotel renovations often take place while the property is open. We phase work by floor or wing, limit noise during guest hours and keep service routes clear. Because our own crews handle the major trades, we can adjust the plan quickly if occupancy changes.
Winter and seasonal demand affect hotel schedules in Alberta. We help owners pick a window that costs the least in lost bookings.
Self-performing the repeated work pays off in a hotel. Our crews learn the pattern of a room and get faster, quality stays consistent from the first floor to the last, and one team answers for the result.
Questions we hear
Can a hotel stay open during renovation?
Often, yes. We phase work by area, control noise and dust, and keep guest routes safe.
