Designed for crowds
Banquet halls are large, open rooms that must host weddings, meetings and community events. Occupancy is high, so exits, lighting and ventilation need careful planning under the National Building Code – Alberta Edition and local safety codes.
Our in-house engineering and project management team reviews these needs early, which avoids costly changes once drawings are sent for permit.
Lighting, sound and atmosphere
Event lighting needs layers: bright for setup and cleaning, softer for dinner, and special effects for celebrations. Our electrical team, led by a Master Electrician, installs the circuits and dimming controls that make this possible.
Our low voltage group, led by our Low Voltage Systems Manager, installs audio visual systems, speakers, projection or screens, and sound masking where needed. Sound is often the biggest challenge in a large hall, and ceiling and wall treatments help control echo.
Kitchen, washrooms and back of house
A hall depends on a good kitchen and enough washrooms. Our mechanical crew handles HVAC and plumbing, including kitchen exhaust, grease management, floor drains and washroom fixtures. Large rooms also need ventilation that handles heat and crowds without noise.
Our interior systems, carpentry and painting crews build stages, bars, partitions, feature walls and cloakrooms. Operable walls, if used, must be installed and sealed carefully so a large room can be divided.

- Audio visual and sound control
- Commercial kitchen services
- Washroom capacity and accessibility
Planning ahead
Halls earn money from events, so closing dates and bookings matter. We build schedules around the owner's calendar and plan phasing when possible.
Security, digital signage and networks are available as turn-key services, and building maintenance can follow once the doors open. Calls and email are answered around the clock.
Because our own electricians, mechanics and interior crews work on one schedule, a change to the stage, the bar or the kitchen layout does not ripple through several subcontractors. We adjust, confirm cost quickly and keep moving toward the first booked event.
Questions we hear
Can the hall be divided into smaller rooms?
Yes. We can build or install partitions and operable walls, with the electrical, sound and ventilation planned to suit.
