When touch-up or repaint makes sense
Touch-up covers small repairs: scuffs, nail holes, chips on doors and frames, and marks left after furniture moves. Repainting covers full rooms or floors that need a refresh because of age, a lease change, a rebrand or a layout update.
Both are good ways to improve a space without major construction. A repaint is also a standard part of a lease turnover, and tenants often need the work finished quickly and on a fixed date.
Doing it with little disruption
Occupied spaces require care. We schedule work in sections, after hours or on weekends, move and cover furniture, protect floors, and use low-odour products where appropriate. Clear communication with staff and building management helps the work go smoothly.
Matching existing paint is the main technical challenge. Old paint fades, and a small touch-up can show as a patch. When that happens, the best fix is to paint the full wall corner to corner. Our painters can advise on when a spot repair works and when it does not.
Repairs come first. Our drywall and carpentry crews fix dents, holes, damaged trim and doors under the same arrangement, so one call covers all of it. Our electricians can replace cracked plates and devices, which often makes a repainted room look new.
- Scuff, nail hole and chip repairs
- Door, frame and trim refinishing
- Full-room and full-floor repaints
- Lease turnover and tenant refresh work
- Colour matching and accent walls
What to plan for
Choose colours early, and test them. A swatch on the wall in real lighting prevents regrets. Dark colours and strong accents often need more coats.
Think about the end of the job. Moving furniture and equipment back after painting should wait until paint is dry. We can plan for a quick touch-up visit after move-in to fix anything that was marked.
Keep a record of paint colours and products. Writing down the manufacturer, colour name and sheen makes future touch-ups much easier, and we can provide this at handover.
Lastly, ask about maintenance plans. Regular small visits keep a space looking cared for and can postpone the cost of a full repaint.
