Beverage Production Facilities

Beverage plants run on water, power, cold and cleaning. HSM builds production spaces for bottling, canning and blending with our own mechanical and electrical teams.

Beverage Production Facilities

Water and drains first

Beverage production uses a lot of water for process, rinsing and cleaning. Treatment systems, tanks and piping need careful routing. Floors must be sloped to drains, and wastewater may need pre-treatment to meet municipal limits.

Food-safe materials and cleanable surfaces are required throughout production areas.

Utilities and lines

Our mechanical crew installs process piping, compressed air, ventilation, humidity control and chilled water or glycol connections. Our electrical crew, led by a Master Electrician, installs power for pumps, fillers, cappers, conveyors and controls. Many lines run for long shifts, so reliable power matters.

Equipment suppliers provide layouts and requirements. We coordinate rough-ins so each machine can be installed without rework.

Storage and shipping

Beverages are heavy. Floors must carry pallets and racking. Warehouse space, dock doors and forklift traffic are part of the plan. Our low voltage team adds cameras and access control.

Planning ahead

Alberta winters affect shipping, makeup air and exterior water lines. Freeze protection is part of the design. Plan for equipment lead times and for approvals from health and environmental authorities.

Our in-house engineering team, led by Dr. Magdy Istafanous, can help review utility loads, drainage and structure before equipment is ordered. That reduces the chance of surprises later and helps the budget match the real scope of the plant.

Quality control labs, packaging storage and staff facilities round out a plant. We build them as part of the project, with our own interior and electrical crews, so production, testing and shipping all sit under one coordinated schedule.

Cleaning-in-place systems, tank farms and utility rooms add pipe, power and floor space. We plan routes and clearances for them early, so cleaning is simple and maintenance can be done safely.
