Fewer delays
Incidents stop work. They can lead to investigations, repairs and lost days, and they strain relationships on site. Careful planning and a steady safety routine reduce the chance of that kind of disruption. A project that runs safely is more likely to run on schedule.
Because we plan and sequence our own trades together, there is less chance of one crew's work putting another at risk and slowing the project.
Protected occupants
If you are renovating a building that stays open, your staff, tenants, customers or students are part of our planning. We use barriers, dust control, fire protection planning and agreed work hours to keep them away from hazards. You will know in advance when noisy work, shutdowns or changes to access are coming.
If an incident does occur, you hear about it from us directly and promptly.
Lower risk for you
A site with good safety practices is less likely to produce claims, disputes and reputational harm. Because HSM self-performs most of its trades, you are dealing with one accountable team, not a chain of separate companies each managing its own safety. Our leadership, CEO Hazim Gaber and Director of Health & Safety Ghilda Gaber, stand behind how we work.
What to expect from HSM
Here is what you can count on when HSM builds for you:
- Planned work with hazards assessed before tasks begin
- Trained crews, including electrical led by a Master Electrician
- Clear communication about access, shutdowns and schedule
- Honest reporting if something happens
- A team reachable 24/7/365 at 1 800 716 8955 or contact@hsmcm.ca
Your part
Safety works best as a partnership. Tell us about your building, its hazards, your occupants and your rules. Share access requirements and emergency procedures early, ideally before the lease is signed or design begins, so safety planning is built into the schedule and the budget.
