Commercial Construction in St. Albert

Building in St. Albert

St. Albert sits just northwest of Edmonton and has a busy mix of retail plazas, professional offices, clinics, restaurants and light commercial buildings. Many are mid-sized spaces of the kind that suit a tenant improvement or a focused renovation. The city also sees new commercial buildings in growing areas.

Clients here often want a contractor who is close, responsive and simple to deal with.

How we serve St. Albert

Our St. Albert office means a short trip for our project managers and trades, and a local place to meet. You can also meet at our Edmonton office at Suite 3400, 10180 101 St NW if that suits you better. Call 1 800 716 8955 or email contact@hsmcm.ca at any hour. We answer 24/7/365.

We know the St. Albert and Edmonton region well, including the shopping areas, business parks and older commercial strips where many of our clients operate. That familiarity helps with permits, suppliers and scheduling, and it means the person who visits your site is likely to be back within days if needed.

Our own trades on your project

On a St. Albert project, HSM self-performs the major trades. Our electricians, led by Master Electrician Adam Williams, install power, lighting and distribution. Our mechanical team installs and services HVAC and plumbing. Brian Wright leads our interior systems crews, and Adam Mason leads our low voltage group for alarms, AV, sound masking and surveillance.

  • Medical and dental clinics

  • Exterior entrances and storefronts
  • Building maintenance after opening

Local considerations

Retail and clinic projects in St. Albert often sit in multi-tenant buildings, so landlord approvals, shared walls and neighbour disruption matter. Municipal development permit requirements apply to changes in use and signage, and we check them at the start. Winter weather also affects exterior work and deliveries.

Planning your project

Share your lease, floor plan and target opening date. We will visit, discuss options and give you a clear scope and price range. Where useful we also handle security, signage, networks and furniture, so the opening is coordinated.
